Caterpillar's Dream to Fly

Okay, now that the disclaimer is out of the way... I didn't start my diet yesterday along with everyone else. I start my regular workouts today so yesterday was my last day of "freedom." I went to Walmart for some groceries. As I was stocking up on Lean Cuisines and Healthy Choice soup, I realized exactly why I only eat junk. Lean Cuisines are almost $3 a piece. Banquet TV dinners? $1. The soup was on sale for $1.50. I can get a can of Campbell's chicken noodle for less than a dollar. I got some 100 calorie packs for a snack at work too.. those were $2.28 for 8 packs. A bag of cookies that lasts me quite a while goes for only 22 cents more.

Once I got over the sticker shock, all was well. I spent almost $100 on food, but I'm stocked up for awhile. I did grab a box of fudge rounds. I'll need something chocolate in my house. I also decided on my workout schedule... I have access to weight equipment for free at work, so that's awesome. And since I'm already here... there's no going home after work and deciding that I'm too tired to work out that night. I'll be spending an hour in the weight room Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since my biggest concern is my stomach, I'll be doing Abs of Steel on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at least once on the weekends. I may also incorporate a full body workout video on the weekends as well.

I've done really good so far today. I'm halfway finished with my 3rd bottle of water. I'll drink at least one more while I'm working out, and another when I go home tonight. That's 80 oz. of water, babes!!! I should be able to keep this up every day... lately, I just need all the water I can get. I ate a cereal bar for breakfast and made a chicken sandwich, cottage cheese, cheese cubes, and grapes for lunch. I'll admit it... I put a little bit of Miracle Whip on my sandwich. And it's on white bread because I have almost a full loaf... I'm not throwing that shit away!

That's all I've got right now. I think I'm going to pick up some chicken breasts and some wheat pasta to make for dinner. Maybe I'll go through Subway... ah, we'll see how motivated I am to cook after my workout. Either way, I'm proud of my progress so far. I've decided that my goal is to have a flat stomach by Christmas. I can do it!!!!
